Position:

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (international, 7 person-months)

Description :

The impact of the Project will be increased agricultural growth, through development of more efficient livestock and horticulture agribusinesses. This outcome will be achieved with the following outputs: improved agricultural marketing infrastructure with investment in slaughterhouses, small-scale horticulture market facilities, laboratories to certify products, and improved standards for horticultural products and product-management systems.

Start/ Duration :

The Project will be implemented over the period to December 2013, which is the Project completion date

Qualifications/Experience:

• Report to the Team Leader all Project related concerns and issues
• Develop the work plan for a baseline survey to be undertaken at the start of the Project
• Discuss the intended survey and the tendering process with the Team Leader and PMO staff
• Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation system linked to a management information system (MIS)

• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics or Statistics, Master's Degree preferred
• Five years experience as Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist on development projects in developing countries
• Experience in setting up MIS
• Previous experience in Afghanistan preferred
