Description :

The Programme Purpose to increase Food security and income levels for rural households with sustainable use of soil and water resources.

Programme Objectives:

·           Improved knowledge, attitude and organization of rural communities

·           Sustainable management of soil conservation and soil fertility

·           Enabling environment for agriculture business initiatives promoted

·           Improved capacity of rural communities to access and develop post-harvest agricultural activities

·           Timely and relevant education and training opportunities available in horticulture

·           Improved institutional capacity in trade policy

Qualifications/Experience:

For the position of the Team leader we are looking for an expert with the following profile:

·           University Degree in the sector of Agriculture / Horticulture

·           Prior, CV based, experience as Team Leader in EDF funded projects

·           Prior work experience in the region

For the position of the Imprest Administrator we are looking for an expert with the following profile:

·           University Degree in the sector of Financial Management

·           Prior, CV based, experience in drawing up the technical and operational parts of the programme estimates within EDF financed projects

·           Prior experience in the region would mean an asset

For the position of an Agriculture / Horticulture expert with the following profile:

·           University Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture

·           Prior, CV based experience in promotion of productivity and diversification of smallholder agriculture

·           Prior, CV based experience in community development

·           Prior work experience in the region

For the position of an Monitoring and Evaluation expert with the following profile:

·           University Degree in Social Sciences / evaluation or related topic

·           Prior CV based experience in design of a monitoring scheme along the EC Standard Indicators

·           Prior work experience in the region would mean an asset.
