Development of concepts and tools regarding livelihoods diversification, income generating activities and pro-poor market approaches.
·
Analysis of new economic opportunities for poor farmers.
·
Building capacities within the programme teams and partners, in the field of pro-poor-market approaches, value chains, analysis of economic opportunities, policy issues.
·
Knowledge management and capitalisation of experiences among and across both programmes.
·
Facilitation and preparation of policy dialogue activities.
·
Planning, monitoring and annual reports of these activities in the respective projects.
·
Building networks, synergies with like-minded organisations as well as private sector.
·
University degree in Economics, Agricultural or Social sciences, with background and field experiences in rural economy in several countries (preferably in the region).
·
Experience in coaching and advising multi-disciplinary teams on the development of local income generating activities for the poor, market and value chain approaches and small scale industries.
·
Prior Work experience in DIFID funded projects and / or Nepal would mean an asset
